Houston, Texas (PRWEB) April 08, 2014 — Next Level Urgent Care is the first organization in Texas to achieve Urgent Care Center Accreditation through the American Academy of Urgent Care Medicine (AAUCM). Accreditation is a voluntary process that measures the quality of services and performance against nationally recognized standards.

“We feel that this accreditation sets us apart by assuring our patients that each one of our providers and facilities at all 9 of our locations maintains a high level of quality,” says CEO and Medical Director, Juliet Breeze, M.D. “People in Houston have been using Emergency Centers as a high-cost alternative to receive after hours non-emergent care. As patients become more and more educated about healthcare quality and cost, we would like to be seen as the obvious choice. This accreditation lets patients know that we take Urgent Care very seriously and are committed to providing the best service and care. We are very honored to be the first group to bring this accreditation to Texas.”

Urgent Care Centers can provide care for non-life threatening illness and injury that may include broken bones and skin wounds. Unlike a retail health clinic, urgent care centers have x-ray on site and employ physicians and mid-level providers who are procedurally-trained to handle injuries that do not require operating room surgery. Urgent Care Centers can save patients up to 5-10 times the cost of a typical emergency room visit. Due to consumer confusion about the difference between free-standing emergency rooms and urgent care centers, many patients have unknowingly presented to an emergency room for care that could have been handled in a lower cost setting. “We would like Next Level Urgent Care to be the brand that people know they can trust to provide excellent medical care without the emergency room price point,” Breeze says.
