Houston-based Next Level Urgent Care LLC is opening clinics in Baytown and Cypress, according to the company’s CEO and medical director, Dr. Juliet Breeze.
The Next Level Urgent Care clinic in Baytown is already under development, Breeze told the Houston Business Journal. When it is completed, the Baytown clinic will be located in a newly built strip center on Garth Road. Breeze said that Houston-based Dhanani Private Equity Group and Houston-based Garth Developers LLC are handling the construction of the strip center. Houston-based Mission Constructors Inc. will serve as the developer for the interior of the Next Level Urgent Care clinic, according to Breeze. The Baytown strip center is located at 7718/7710 Garth Rd., and the clinic is expected to open in the second or third quarter of 2019.
The Cypress clinic will be located at 8350 N. Fry Rd. and is expected to open by April 2019, Breeze said. The Cypress clinic will be housed in an existing strip center and Mission Constructors will handle the build out of the interior of the facility.
With 12 existing clinic locations across the Houston metro area, Next Level Urgent Care is trying to establish itself in close proximity to wherever people are living and working, Breeze said. “We’re really trying to get a distribution around Houston so that we are convenient,” Breeze said in a phone call to the HBJ. “That’s sort of the name of the game in health care these days — access and convenience.”
Next Level Urgent Care has hired over 100 employees this year due to the expansion of its current clinics, but will begin hiring again on Jan. 1, Breeze said. The company plans to hire between 40 and 50 employees over the next year. Next Level Urgent Care currently employs 241 people in and around Houston, according to Breeze.
Breeze began working with Next Level Urgent Care in 2013, according to her LinkedIn profile. The company opened its first clinic that year and subsequently began its rapid expansion into the Bayou City market. Next Level Urgent Care was ranked one of the best large-sized companies to work for in Houston by the Houston Business Journal in October.
