AUSTIN, TX (July 11, 2022) – Next Level Urgent Care, which treats approximately 600,000 patients per year at its 24 Houston-area clinics, has opened the first of seven Austin-area locations planned for this year.
Next Level’s first clinic to open outside Houston is located near Bee Cave at 15500 State Highway 71 where patients of all ages can receive urgent care services for chronic and acute illness, fractures, lacerations, contusions and other non-life-threatening injuries.
Six other Austin-area Next Level Urgent Care centers, scheduled to open by fall, include locations in Round Rock, 3200 Greenlawn Boulevard; Leander, 3725 Lakeline Blvd just west of 183; Hutto, (720 US 79 West, Suite 100 Hutto, TX 78634); and Cedar Park, (1500 E. Whitestone Blvd, Suite 600, Cedar Park 78613). Locations also are planned for 14900 N. I-35 just north of Wells Branch Parkway and at 3221 Red River in the center of Austin.
“We’re about quality care where you need it, when you need it,” explains Next Level Urgent Care Founder and CEO Juliet Breeze, MD. “We’ve had great success in Houston and look forward to bringing our approach to providing accessible, affordable care to other parts of Texas.”
Like all Next Level Urgent Care locations, the 3,000 square-foot Bee Cave location offers extended hours, 9 a.m. to 9 p.m., seven days a week and on holidays at a fraction of the cost of hospital emergency room or other emergency room visits.
In addition to its Austin locations, the urgent care provider will open seven new locations in San Antonio, six in Houston and two in the Beaumont area by the end of this year.
The genesis of Next Level Urgent Care traces back to a Saturday afternoon in 2013, when Breeze sought weekend care for one of her four children who was experiencing a severe earache.
With her pediatrician’s office closed, she opted for a freestanding urgent care center rather than sit for hours in a hospital emergency room. After a five-minute visit, she was handed a bill for $1,000.
“I would have paid s $60 co-pay at my pediatrician,” she recalls.
The experience inspired Breeze, a physician and entrepreneur with more than 20 years in healthcare, to launch a network of urgent care centers offering short wait times and quality care for non-life threatening situations for as little as an insurance co-pay.
Today, the company offers urgent care, primary care service and an employer-paid membership model known as Next Level PRIME. Businesses pay a flat rate, about $60 per employee, for their workers and their healthcare dependents to receive primary care, urgent care, telemedicine and health coaching, all at no cost to employees. Labs, durable medical equipment and immunizations also are included.
San Antonio’s Metropolitan Contracting is the architect and contractor for the new Austin locations.
